Title: Director of Intensive Care Services, Sparks Health System

Level: 3-5 years of experience

Details: Functions within the framework of the mission, vision, strategic goals and standards of the Health System. Strategically manages and directs Intensive Care Services within the Medical Center. Ensures efficient and cost-effective use of a variety of resources in delivering quality services. Demonstrates 24-hour accountability for all functions of the nursing unit. Develops and implements a plan for the integration of nursing services. Plans, directs, coordinates and evaluates administrative activities, including fiscal and other resource management. Formulates, implements, interprets, communicates and evaluates nursing division standards. Identifies, coordinates, facilitates and evaluates nursing division quality improvement activities. The position requires effective skills in communication, conceptual thinking, negotiation, integration and planning. Coaches and mentors staff to achieve professional growth and development.
