Ciao reminds everyone that its monthly wine tasting is taking place from 5:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26. Megan Bohm will introduce two wines from Italy. The white wine is Ruffino Orvieto. Made from grapes grown near the town of Orvieto, it is bright and crisp with hints of pear. 

The red wine for the evening will be a Super Tuscan from Collelunga: Morellino di Scansano by Poggio alle Sughere. Ninety percent Sangiovese and 10 percent Cabernet give this wine a bouquet of sweet violets, raspberry and pomegranate. The taste is slightly dry with good balance. 

The wine tasting, according to Ciao's Becky Mobly, is very informal. Megan will go from table to table to visit with dinner guests about the wines. She will answer any questions and offer a taste. If one of the wines appeals to you, order a bottle or a glass; if not, just enjoy your dinner and the wonderful atmosphere.

Events later in the month will include acoustic music performances. 
Hours are 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 1-5 p.m. Sunday.
