There are some Arkansas amateur golfers you simply don’t want to see on the other side of a four-ball bracket. You know you’re had. You’d rather see them teeing up as your “A” player in a charity scramble, or three of them taking those other spots with you on a four-man team — have a blast and just bring your putter.

Many of these guys already had the game down in their teens, some went on to stellar college careers. Some may have dabbled at making money at the game, either playing it or caddying for the pros, before settling down to a “regular” life. Some should have had their own personal flight in the country club championship. Most of them have businesses to run and seem like they don’t have time to play any more than you do and still they carve out a nice even-par round from the tips.

You may know who they are. But just in case you don’t, we found a few amateur businessmen/golfers whose handicaps are among the lowest you’ll see, and we asked them questions about their games.

(And, in case you’re wondering, a “+2” handicap means they typically shoot 2 under par, or need to give you 2 shots on top of the handicap you’re already getting against scratch. Also, never say “Let’s go golfing” around these guys; that’s a term for a novice to use.)
