Our sister sports site, ArkansasSports360.com, was downtown on Sunday to create this video snapshot of the 2010 Little Rock Marathon.

The video shows the start of the race, along with shots of winners Moninda Marube of Keller, Texas, and Leah Thorvilson of Little Rock, a former runner for the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and last year's women's winner.

Thorvilson, who we've seen in action before, placed 19 minutes ahead of her closest competition. According to ArkansasSports360.com today:

Thorvilson, a cross country and track and field student-athlete at UALR, won the marathon out of 573 female runners and finish 10th overall out of 1,542 total finishers.

While at UALR, Thorvilson set records in both cross country and track and field and is still listing on many top performance lists.

After the jump, the full video. If you're in a quiet office, turn your speakers down for that rowdy, confettied start, as well as the First United Methodist Church band at mile 9 of the race, also known as "the Methodist Mile."
