Steve Martin, banjo player

Tickets are on sale for An Evening of Bluegrass & Banjo featuring Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 24 at Baum Walker Hall in the Walton Arts Center. Martin — actor, author, comedian and musician — will be performing with The Steep Canyon Rangers as they perform songs from his Grammy Award-winning bluegrass album The Crow. Steve Martin caught everyone's attention in the 1970s performing comedy routines and appearing on NBC’s Saturday Night Live. He became a film actor and musician in the 1980s. His foray intobanjo and bluegrass music earned him a 2003 Grammy Award for Best Country Performance and a Best Bluegrass Album Grammy for his 2009 solo debut The Crow.
