Brides-to-be don't have to worry about being packed into a room filled with booths or being pestered by the used-car salesmen of the bridal industry during the Signature Bridal Event. Instead, brides and their guests will be greeted with a warm party-like atmosphere, flutes of champagne and hors d'oeuvres from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, March 18, at the Junior League of Little Rock Headquarters Building, 401 South Scott St., Little Rock.

Admission is free. A silent auction and sales of Pink Ribbon punch will benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

The Signature Bridal Event is a collaborative effort of some of the area's top vendors who want a more comfortable and fun way to interact with brides. The Little Rock vendors participating — Gala Productions, Simply the Best Catering, Distinctive Designs by Tanarah, Central Arkansas Entertainment, Photography by Melisa and Cocoa Belle — will be the singular representatives of their wedding industries in an effort to eliminate the competitive and impersonal interactions that many bridal expos create.

Once inside and registered, brides will mingle with vendors around cocktail tables, enjoy hands-on activity stations and receive a gift bag filled with information about the wedding professionals they meet.

Signature Bridal Event founder Stacy Parker, owner of Gala Productions, and co-founder Kim Crosby hope their come-and-go cocktail party offering hassle-free meet-and-greets with some of central Arkansas' premier wedding professionals will be a welcome highlight in the planning process of the brides who attend.
