Take us to Paws Park!
Being around dogs is reported to be helpful in lowering stress and anxiety levels. So go to the dog park — even if you don't have a dog.
Located on two shady acres in Little Rock’s Murray Park, Paws Park is a big playground for all sorts of dogs, big and small, and watching them romp off-leash in a safe area is sure to make you smile, even if you're having a pretty awful day. Admission for all is free.
The park has escape-proof five foot-high chain link fencing around two acres for large dogs, four foot-high chain link fencing around a half acre for small dogs (30 pounds or less), a secure double-gate system for entering and exiting the park, water troughs and fountains, benches, parking, trash cans and mutt mitts for cleaning up after your dog. Restrooms are located in the nearby playground area.

There are two other dog parks in central Arkansas:
4 Paws Park is at 425 Hyman Drive in Maumelle, a small, pleasant location with good fencing and lots of trees.
3. Burns Park in North Little Rock has four large enclosures (approximately 1 1/2 to 2 acres each). Water and bags provided. To get there, take the Burns Park exit off I-40 (exit 150). Turn south, go past golf course. Turn right on Tournament Drive, and follow along the Arkansas River. The dog park is on the right.
