In the outdoor area at Bill St. Bar & Grill on Little Rock.

In addition to being pretty snappy Web developers, the crew at FLEX360 are prolific lunchers. You're apt to find them hitting a different downtown Little Rock lunch every day of the week. And they're particularly excited when there's fresh meat on the market, like the new Bill St. Bar & Grill, which opened this week at 614 President Clinton Ave.

Having finally sampled Bill St.'s lunch menu, the crew was eager to share its impressions. Here's their quick review, written by FLEX360 project manager and luncher-in-chief Zack Hill:

The entrance is a strange, yet unique setup, in which you have to journey downstairs before entering the restaurant. It's a pleasant surprise below deck however, with an outdoor seating area that persuaded us to sit down before ever stepping foot inside. Sitting below street level muffled most of the Interstate traffic noise and provided a relaxing low-key environment.

While Bill St. offers a traditional American menu, many of the items came with a twist, including the Roulette Wings (traditional wings with one injected with habanero juice) and a Peanut Butter Bacon Burger. I opted for the Bill Burger, a traditional burger with cheddar cheese and bacon, served with seasoned fries.

With this being their first day of full service, Bill St. was a little behind in the kitchen, but once the food arrived all worries of time turned to excitement over the size of the burgers. Perfectly cooked and almost more that one can eat, the burger couldn't have been done or priced any better for lunch in the River Market.

I will become a frequent visitor of Bill St. Looking past the slow service due to high volume, we'll be working Bill St. into our downtown lunch rotation.
