The Old State House was once the meeting place for the Arkansas Legislature until the new Capitol was built and was the site of Bill Clinton's two Election Night victory rallies.

The deadline for enrollment is July 9 for Arkansas MythBusting, the Old State House Museum’s Summer Fun youth enrichment program taking place July 19-23. 'It's a terrific program for kids who have an interest in history,' says museum director Bill Gatewood.

Arkansas MythBusting is a week of hands-on and classroom learning in which participants will explore strange and unusual myths about the Old State House Museum and Arkansas history. Kids in grades 5-10 (rising) will learn how to prove or disprove these myths through analytical observation, investigation and problem solving. Participants will also have fun and make new friends.

Classes will take place from 8 a.m. to noon daily. Registration is $75 per student and includes program supplies, snacks and a T-shirt. For more information call Daniel Cockrell in the Old State House Museum’s education department at (501) 324-9685.
