Chris Kindrick talks about the latest Movies in the Park selection, "Wedding Crashers," starring Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson. The movie is free and begins at sundown on Wednesday in Riverfront Park.
The R-rated comedy Wedding Crashers is screening at sundown today (July 21) at Riverfest Amphitheatre in Little Rock's Riverfront Park as part of Movies in the Park. Admission is free.
Directed by David Dobkin, the 2005 film stars Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn as John Beckwith and Jeremy Gray, best friends and partners in a divorce mediation firm who sneak into weddings to take advantage of the yearning for romance by the women in attendance.
Then one day John (Wilson), while crashing the wedding of the daughter of the U.S. Treasury secretary (Christopher Walken), meets and falls for bridesmaid Claire Cleary (Rachel McAdams), sister of the bride -- which changes everything.
The film's running time is 119 minutes. It's rated R for sexual content, nudity and language.
The park opens at 6:30 p.m. Bring lawn chairs (or sit in the amphitheatre seats) and coolers if you'd like (alcoholic beverages are OK, but no glass containers, please). Concessions will be available for purchase. Free bug spray can be found at the concession stands.
