Get a team together by Monday to receive a discounted registration rate of $135 for the 48 Hour Film Project.

The Little Rock Film Festival will hold an informational meeting at 7:30 p.m. today (July 25) at Vino's, Seventh and Chester streets, Little Rock, to specify the details of the 48 Hour Film Project. Admission is free.

Levi Agee, the project’s city producer, will cover rules of the contest and explain how the weekend’s events will occur.

“The purpose of tonight’s meet-up is to answer any questions that those interested in participating might have,” Agee said. “Anyone who has thought about getting involved is invited to attend.”

The meeting is a good opportunity for individuals who are not part of a team to find a team to join.

The 48 Hour Film Project is a competition in which filmmakers must write, film, edit and score an original short film in two days. The participating teams receive a specific character, a prop and a line of dialogue that they must include in their films. Each team draws from a hat a genre under which its film must be categorized.

Teams who register for the competition before Aug. 1 may do so at a discounted entry fe of $140 (regular rate is $160).
