The William F. Laman Public Library System's monthly outdoor concert series, Thursdays on the Plaza, will be extended to a year-round event.
"The William F. Laman Public Library System has had such great response this summer to our Thursdays on the Plaza concert series that we have decided to continue presenting a wonderful array of musical talent to the community all through the year," executive director Jeff Baskin said.
On Sept. 9, saxophonist and vocalist Michael Eubanks, a member of the Arkansas Art Council's Artist on Tour Roster, will play several different instruments during his performance at Laman Library.
On Oct. 14, bluegrass artists Susan Shore and Michael Cockram will take the stage. Shore has produced several albums including Little Movies, L-Ranko Motel, Old 218 and Book of Days.
The November act is yet to be announced.
On Dec. 9, the popular quintet Ozark Point Brass will finish out the year.
Thursdays on the Plaza, which is free and open to the public, takes place at 7 p.m. every second Thursday of the month. The musicians perform on a stage overlooking the pond in the plaza or inside in the auditorium, depending on the weather.
Bring a blanket or chairs and snacks to the events.
