Art Beyond Borders

Art Beyond Borders is on display from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. through Sept. 25 at Heifer Village in downtown Little Rock.

The traveling exhibit, sponsored by the office of Little Rock Mayor Mark Stodola, features 24 artists from around the world and serves as a catalyst for peace and cultural understanding through the language of art.

Included are works by Hubert Clerissi from Monaco, Ernst Fuchs from Austria, Viswanadhan from India, Christine Harter from Seychelles, Cecil Skotnes from South Africa, Aloi Piliokov from Vanuatu, Ferdinando Codognotto from the Vatican, Dan Namingha from the United States, Wu Guanzhong from China, and Sarwat El Bahr from Egypt.

Heifer Village will host a special family day from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sept. 25 focused on the Art Beyond Borders exhibit. Activities will include:

  • Art Scavenger Hunt -- Using a special key sheet, young children can match the artists and their art with the countries they are from.
  • Express Yourself -- Explore your creativity to make a work of art using different media. Then take home your creation.
