Smear some fake blood on your face and clothes and join the Little Rock Zombie Walk at 7 p.m. Oct. 10.

Little Rock Zombie Walk -- 7-8 p.m. Oct. 10 starting at the Rev Room, 300 President Clinton Ave., Little Rock -- invites participants to dress up like zombies and stroll through the River Market in a family-friendly all-ages benefit for local animal rescue organizations FuRR (Feline Rescue and Rehome), CARE for Animals, and the Humane Society of Pulaski County.

Don't feel like dressing up? Come anyway and walk along with a vacant expression. You'll fit right in.

Hostess for the Zombie Walk is Evelle LeChat of cable TV's Night-Frights Classic Horror Movies.

An after-party at the Rev Room will take place from 8-11 p.m. (it's all ages but you have to be 21 to drink).

Cost to participate in the Zombie Walk is $1 plus a can of pet food (no pet food? bring $2). Cost for the after-party -- which will include a zombie beauty pageant, costume contest, dance contest and a screening of  George Romero's classic Night of the Living Dead -- is $10.

The zombie walk will not sell out, but the after-party will. So buy your ticket in advance at Halloween Express (501 S. Bowman Road, Little Rock; 4339 Warden Road, North Little Rock and 201 Skyline Drive, Conway), Armadillo's Hands (6318 Colonel Glenn Road, Little Rock), and the Rev Room or by clicking here.
