Come to the grand opening of Gigi's a Cake Boutique, Sherwood's first customized cake shop and bakery, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday. There will be gourmet cupcakes to taste, live entertainment, and a unique array of cakes and desserts on display.

The shop, owned by Gloria "Gigi" Gabriel, pastry chef at Maddie's Place in Little Rock, is presently taking cake and pastry orders, with plans to expand into a retail shop in the next year.
