A 1915 Dodge Brothers Touring Car (like this model at the Walter P. Chrysler Car Museum in Auburn Hills, Mich.) used by General John J. Pershing will be exhibited during a reception today at the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History.

MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History will exhibit one of the first cars ever used in U.S. combat operations at a reception from 5-6:30 p.m. today (Nov.  15) at the museum in MacArthur Park, Ninth and Commerce streets, Little Rock.

The 1915 Dodge Brothers touring car was used by General John J. Pershing as he led 12,000 American troops in search of Mexican revolutionary Pancho Villa in 1916. The restored convertible is owned by Jack Thomas of Mountain View.

Grupo P'urhembe, a musical group from Michoacan, Mexico, will perform at St. Edward Catholic School, 816 S. Ferry St. (across from MacArthur Park) at 7 p.m. following the reception.

The car will remain on view in front of the museum from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday (Nov. 16). Admission to all events is free.
