The Museum of Discovery on Wednesday (Dec. 1) marked the beginning of construction on a renovation that will add 13,000 square feet of exhibit space, three new galleries, a new grand entrance hall and 85 new exhibits.
Gov. Mike Beebe and Little Rock Mayor Mark Stodola were among those attending the groundbreaking ceremony.
The museum will close from April 2011 to January 2012 to accommodate construction.
