Fish and chips at Dugan's Pub

The sign had been in the window for months: "Coming Summer 2010 - Dugan's Pub." Summer came and went with little outward sign of the progress happening inside. But come October, the pub did open, and it turns out the wait was worth it.

And it was understandable, too, as it seems no expense was spared in creating the comfy, classy interior of Dugan's Pub, 401 E. Third St., Little Rock.

Like the decor, the menu at Dugan's is a mix of customary and contemporary, from the traditional Irish to the southern-fried to that mandatory Arkansas appetizer, cheese dip.
