The Museum of Discovery in Little Rock's River Market is closed today (Jan. 10) because of the weather.

Other than today's closing, the Museum of Discovery remains open through April 2. Construction and renovations continue behind the scenes until April 2. For more information on the new museum plans click here. 

In the meantime, if you need a project while stuck at home today, here's a recipe from the Museum for snow ice cream:

Snow Ice Cream

  • 1 gallon snow
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups whole milk

Use a clean container to collect clean snow. Add sugar and vanilla, stirring everything to make it even, then pour in milk and continue stirring to make it look like ice cream. Eat it right away!
