Catch sight of a bald eagle during DeGray Lake Resort State Park's Eagles Et Cetera Festival.

Encounter eagles, hawks, owls and other birds of prey at indoor and outdoor programs during DeGray Lake Resort State Park's Eagles Et Cetera Festival this weekend.

Programs begin at 2 p.m. today (Jan. 28) and continue through noon Sunday (Jan. 30). There will be guided eagle tours on DeGray Lake, bird hikes, owl prowls, programs, games, live bird shows and more.

DeGray Lake Resort State Park has teamed up with the Little Rock Zoo, wildlife rehabilitator Rodney Paul, the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and others to present a variety of encounters with live birds including owls, hawks, vultures and a bald eagle. There will be falconry demonstrations, a rehabilitated raptor release, and a bird of prey meet and greets.

All programs are free except for the eagle tours, which cost $8.50 per adult, $4.50 per child age 6-12 and are free for children under 6. Participants should dress warmly for outdoor programs, especially tours on the lake. Binoculars and cameras are welcome.
