Arkansas independent filmmakers are invited to apply for one of three $30,000 grants administered by the Ozark Foothills Filmfest. Filmmakers may apply for funds for the production of a feature length (40 minutes or longer) narrative, documentary, or experimental film.
Projects must be filmed primarily in Arkansas and use at least 75 percent Arkansans in the cast and crew. Projects must be completed within one year of the grant award announcement.
Three media professionals will review the initial applications and select finalists based on:
- Artistic quality of the project
- The applicant’s ability and creativity as represented in a submitted work sample
- Managerial and fiscal ability, including the capability of the applicant to carry out the proposed project
- Nature and extent of other support including in-kind goods and services and private and public support.
Finalists will attend a panel where they will be questioned by the media professionals, who will select the grant recipients.
To receive an application form e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. Completed application packages must be received by Ozark Foothills FilmFest by April 15. Mail applications to Ozark Foothills FilmFest, 195 Peel Road, Locust Grove, AR 72550.
