Registration deadline is Friday (April 1) for Heifer International's Hunger Awareness event, taking place from 6-9 p.m. April 16 at Heifer Village, 1 World Ave., Little Rock.
Tickets are $20 per person.
Heifer’s CEO Pierre Ferrari will be the keynote speaker, addressing Heifer’s sustainable development methods in Arkansas and around the world and here in Arkansas.
Participants will learn about poverty and hunger in the U.S. and abroad as they draw their “lot in life” for the evening. This will determine if they will be part of the world population with a high access to an overabundance of food, medium access to reliable food sources or among the majority that endure a low access to daily nourishment.
Through role-play and discussion, participants will learn more about the challenges each of these populations face.
The program is appropriate for youth 12 and older; those under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult. To reserve a seat call (888) 548-6437. For more information click here.
