The Old State House is holding auditions next week for a production of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing.

The Old State House Museum, 300 Markham St., Little Rock, is seeking actors to perform in a production of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing, to be performed multiple times Nov. 7-13 as a leadup to the Museum’s fall Civil War event and as a stand-alone production to be staged in the evenings.

 Auditions will be held from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday (Sept. 6) through Thursday (Sept. 8). Call back auditions will be held on Friday (Sept. 9).

Participants should prepare a one- to two-minute monologue from a Shakespeare play or a play by one of his contemporaries. Each participant should also bring a clear photograph of his/her face; snapshots will be accepted.

This is an unpaid project that is open to performers of high school age and above.
