
The Last Ride, an Arkansas-made drama directed by Harry Thomason about the last days of country music singer/songwriter Hank Williams, will open the Little Rock Film Festival, happening June 1-5 in Little Rock and North Little Rock.
Over 100 films will be shown including Sexting by writer/director Neil LaBute (In the Company of Men) and Revenge of the Electric Car, a documentary by director Chris Paine (Who Killed the Electric Car?)
More films will be announced in the coming weeks. An almost complete list of movies and showtimes will be posted on LittleRockFilmFestival.org in a few days, executive director Jack Lofton said.

The Little Rock Film Festival was founded in 2006 by Arkansas natives Owen Brainard, documentary filmmakers Brent and Craig Renaud, and Jamie Moses. It is home to the Oxford American Award for Best Southern Film, the Golden Rock awards for Best Narrative Film and Best Documentary Film and the Charles B. Pierce Award for Best Film Made in Arkansas.
