Doesn't your dog need a good scrubbing? Get one and help out the LRPD K-9 Unit.

Little Rock Police Department K-9 officers and volunteers will be washing dogs for donations and giving K-9 demonstrations from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday (May 7) at PetSmart, 11400 Financial Centre, Little Rock.

Dr. Bob Hale of Briarwood Animal Clinic will be available to answer questions about pet care, and PetSmart obedience instructors and groomers will offer advice and suggestions to pet owners.

Refreshments will be available, and there will be K-9 T shirts for sale.

Proceeds benefit the LRPD's K-9 program pay for veterinarian bills, equipment, training and other related items.
