Newspapers and other paper products can be recycled through a new program from Easter Seals Arkansas.
Renew Recycling, a new program at Easter Seals Arkansas, provides a sustainability service to the community along with employment opportunities for adults with disabilities by collecting sorted office paper and cardboard products from local businesses and returning them to Easter Seals to be shredded, baled, and transported to paper mills for recycling.
Anything that accumulates -- magazines, newspapers, envelopes, folders, notebooks, etc. -- can be collected.
Under staff supervision, adults with disabilities collect, shred, and bale the paper and cardboard in preparation for sending it to the mills. Each adult is paid an hourly wage and also taught money management skills at the Easter Seals Adult Services Center.
If your business would like to learn more about Renew or if you would like an on-site review of your recycling needs call John Baldwin at (501) 221-8436 or send him an e-mail by clicking here.
