
Those who pay fines for overdue books at CALS will benefit the Camden Library, which suffered a fire over the Independence Day weekend.
The Central Arkansas Library System will donate fines collected for overdue books through July 17 to the Public Library of Camden and Ouachita County, 120 Harrison Ave. Southwest, Camden, which was heavily damaged by fire over the Independence Day weekend.
To participate, patrons should pay fines with librarians at the circulation desks. Anyone -- with or without overdue books -- may donate to the program. Contributions should be made payable to the CALS Endowment Fund for the Camden Library.
Any branch can accept fines incurred from overdue books or donations to the CALS Endowment Fund for the Camden Library.
CALS libraries in Little Rock include Main Library, 100 Rock St.; Dee Brown Library, 6325 Base Line Road; Fletcher Library, 823 N. Buchanan St.; Oley E. Rooker Library, 11 Otter Creek Court; Terry Library, 2015 Napa Valley Drive; Thompson Library, 38 Rahling Circle; Williams Library, 1800 Chester St. and McMath Library, 2100 John Barrow Road.
