Pillows handmade with Swedish fabrics can be found at White Goat Chateau and Farm in the Heights.

Discover European and Scandinavian antiques, antique reproductions, original artwork, furniture, accessories and French flea market finds at White Goat Chateau & Farm, 5624 R St. (near Burge's) in Little Rock's Pulaski Heights.

The store features "the idea of antiques with a younger flair," says Anna Dickinson, who, along with her sister Eleanor Dickinson (an artist whose work can be seen at Boswell Mourot Fine Art in the Heights), owns White Goat.

"We want to share our vision of houses and decorating styles, that it's possible to have antiques without making your home feel like it's full of old stuff," Anna says.

Much of the high-quality stock comes from Europe. "We have vendors that purchase items for us and deal with shipping it through customs," Anna says. "Becoming an importer is a whole different business. It's a goal, but as a startup company we have a middle man who helps us get things here from Europe.

"We both go to antique markets in the U.S. from Texas to Massachusetts. We absolutely love it It's lots of work. We feel like we're in college again -- what a learning curve! -- a crash course on how to set up a store and import furniture."

White Goat customers, she adds, are people of all ages who want furnishings that aren't like everyone else's.
