For the first time in its history, Little Rock Soirée has not one but two different covers for its September 2011 edition. One features Christy Clark, left; the other features Wendy LaFrance.

Little Rock Soiree’s September issue has a special fall fashion section to get you ready for the party season, Little Rock’s comprehensive social calendar for 2011-2012 and, for the first time ever, two different covers. To view the digital edition click here.

One of our beautiful cover ladies, Christy Clark, shares with us her personal story of battling breast cancer. As this year’s co-chair, along with her husband William, of the Gala for Life Sept. 16, she is determined to see support and recognition of the great cancer research and care supplied by UAMS’ Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute.

Our other beautiful cover lady, Wendy LaFrance, is ready to Walk Over the Big Dam Bridge to Cure Diabetes Sept. 17. LaFrance and her husband Stephen are co-chairs of this year’s walk, which supports the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Access Schools is launching a new fundraiser influenced by the French quarter in New Orleans called The Big Easel. The event chair, Catherine Coreless of the Mitchell Williams Law Firm, is excited to give back to the community and ACCESS Schools as a part of the law firm’s Take Time to Give program. The Big Easel will be Oct. 15.

P. Allen Smith, known for his farming initiatives and eye for the natural, is being honored by the Arkansas 4-H Foundation for his commitment and embodiment of the mission and purpose of 4-H Oct. 11 as a part of the annual Celebration of Excellence, which is also the group’s largest annual fundraiser.

Soiree is proud to present the 2011 Fall Fashion special section filled with local retailers and spectacular party ready outfits perfect for the upcoming events season.

And to make sure you know which events to attend we are presenting the 2011-2012 DateBook: Little Rock’s party authority for local fundraisers, benefits and events in and around the city.

Don’t miss the Hubbub section bursting with floral noir pieces perfect for the fall transition. Flowers are not just for spring any longer.

Take a look at September’s Culture Calendar and Dining Guide in the Provisions section. And don't miss the event’s section filled with page after page of some of Little Rock’s finest parties. We hope to see you at some of the coming events dressed in your finest.
