The start of the year-round Argenta Film Series will start with a reception at 6 p.m. today (Sept. 19) at Argenta Community Theater, 405 Main St., Little Rock.

A film screening of award winners from the 2011 Little Rock Film Festival -- Foot Soldier by director Jon Crawford, Pillow by directors Josh and Miles Miller and The Orderly by director Daniel Campbell -- will follow at 7 p.m. (running time is 49 minutes), followed by a question and answer session with the directors. 

Admission is $10 at the door or can be purchased by clicking here. Admission is free for 2012 Little Rock Film Festival gold pass holders. 

The film series will emphasize discussions on the craft of filmmaking and will showcase indoor and outdoor screenings of local, national and international films. The complete fall and winter lineup for the AFS will be announced at the opening night event.
