Gluten-free bread will be a mainstay at Dempsey Bakery, opening Thursday in downtown Little Rock.

People with food sensitivities can enjoy breads, cakes, pies, cookies and more at Dempsey Bakery, 323 Cross St. (Fourth and Cross streets) in downtown Little Rock.

“You don’t have to tell them no!” says owner Paula Dempsey. “If you are like my family and have members with food sensitivities, expect to say yes to delicious, delightful bakery goods and sweets that are gluten-free, soy-free and nut-free.”

Everything at Dempsey Bakery is made with care by Baker Scott Wilkins, who has tested these products for more than a year to ensure the recipes are just right. Dempsey Bakery quality control processes preserve the integrity of the ingredients.

“Our products compete with traditional bakeries in quality, taste and decoration,” said Dempsey. “You’ll find our baked goods are moist, flavorful and a delight to the eye.”

A full product line will be available by the time of the grand opening Oct. 13. Until then Dempsey Bakery will be open from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday with a limited menu.
