So you think you know how to cook ribs? You've got until Monday (Oct. 3) to enter a team in the fourth annual B Street Rib Off competition, with a motto of Fun First, Competition Second. It benefits the Arkansas chapter of the American Cancer Society.

Four-member teams may enter for $75 (entry fee includes two commemorative T-shirts).

The competition has expanded to side dishes -- with Hot Dish and Cold Dish categories -- which can be entered for $!0. Unlike the rib competition, which must be entered by Monday, the side compeition can be entered through the day of the event, which is happening from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Oct. 22 at MacArthur Park, Ninth and McAlmont streets, Little Rock.

The B Street Rib Off was started in 2008 by three college friends in the backyard of their Hillcrest home. Last year it presented the Arkansas chapter of the American Cancer Society with a check for just under $700 and is hoping to raise $1,000 this year.
