Notes: This game is the first meeting between UCA and Lamar. • This season marks the first for Lamar's football team since 1990. The Cardinals had been a Southland member from 1964-1986. • The Bears have won three consecutive SLC games for the first time since the 2008 season. UCA had two three-game winning streaks that season, finishing 6-1 in league play, with the lone loss coming at Nicholls State.

Arkansas State takes the weekend off after defeating Sun Belt foe Florida International last Tuesday in a game televised by ESPN2. The Red Wolves will play host to North Texas on Oct. 29, ASU's Homecoming weekend.

UAPB takes a bye after a narrow 22-21 win over Southern that saw a fight break out on the field moments after the game was finalized. The SWAC suspended 41 players including 25 from UAPB for at least one week. The Golden Lions will play host to Grambling State next on Oct. 29.

Great American: Ouachita Baptist, the lone unbeaten team in GAC games, hosts Southern Arkansas this Saturday at 1 p.m. • Harding is currently suffering through a four-game losing streak, but since all four losses came in non-conference action, the Bisons are still in the middle of the pack in the league’s standings. Southwestern Oklahoma State will travel to Searcy for a 2 p.m. kickoff. • Henderson State hosts East Central this Saturday for homecoming at Carpenter-Haygood Stadium at 3 p.m. • Arkansas Tech is hoping to snap its five-game losing streak and in the process capture its fifth consecutive homecoming victory this Saturday, as the Wonder Boys host Southeastern Oklahoma State at 6 p.m. • Arkansas-Monticello steps out of GAC play this Saturday to host Northeastern State at 3 p.m.
