Little Rock-based fashion designer Korto Momolu will tell a story at Tales From the South Tuesday. 

Little Rock fashion designer Korto Momolu will be the featured storyteller Tuesday (Nov. 1) at Tales From the South at Starving Artist Cafe, 411 Main St., North Little Rock.

Doors open at 5 p.m., dinner is from 5-6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m.

Momolu was born in Monrovia, Liberia. Upon graduation from L’Academies des Couturiers Design Institute in Ottawa, Ontario, she moved to Arkansas with her husband and daughter and began producing women’s wear and accessories influenced by her African roots.

After working as an independent fashion designer and continuing her education at New York's Parsons School of Design, Korto won a place on the fifth season of Bravo TV’s Project Runway, where she ended the season as first runnerup and was awarded the fan favorite prize.

Tales From the South is recorded on Tuesdays at Starving Artist Cafe. It airs locally at 7 p.m. Thursdays on KUAR, FM-89.1 and is syndicated by satellite distribution service World Radio Network.
