Arkansans for Animals, Inc. has opened Operation SAVE (Sterilization and Vaccination Effort), a low-cost, high-quality spay/neuter clinic at 11707 Interstate 30, Little Rock, to provide pet owners affordable spay/neuter services for their dogs and cats.
There are no income restrictions or residency restrictions. The clinic's goal is to provide over 6,000 spay/neuter surgeries annually, preventing thousands of unwanted births and more homeless pets in the community.
The fees for spaying/neutering are $35 for cats and $65 for dogs regardless of size or sex. A rabies vaccination (must be given if the owner has no proof of vaccination) is $10. Other vaccinations are $10. A heartworm test is $15. Microchipping is $20.
Arkansans for Animals' Operation SAVE received $47,600 in grant funding from PetSmart Charities for clinic equipment and supplies.
