Mardi Gras beads, along with music, dancing and refreshments, will be part of the fun at Mardi Gras in Arkansas. 

Most Mardi Gras celebrations are happening on Fat Tuesday -- the day before Ash Wednesday --but Mardi Gras in Arkansas is waiting for the weekend.

It's going on at 8 p.m. Friday (Feb. 24) at Next Level Events, 1400 W. Markham St., Little Rock.

The event will feature music by Boom Kinetic, complimentary wine and beer, a cash bar and beads galore. 

Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door, benefiting Boys and Girls Club of Central Arkansas.
