
Geena Davis will speak Tuesday at the Clinton School.
Actress Geena Davis (Thelma and Louise, Commander in Chief), who founded the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media in 2004, will discuss her efforts to change female portrayals and stereotypes in children's media and entertainment at 6 p.m. Tuesday (Feb. 7) at the Wally Allen Ballroom of Statehouse Convention Center, Markham and Main streets, Little Rock.
The Institute and its programming arm See Jane, work within the media and entertainment industry to engage, educate, and influence the need for gender balance, reduce stereotyping and create a wide variety of female characters for entertainment targeting children 11 and under.
