Auditions for men, women and children of all ethnicities for the feature film Sympathy Pains, produced by the filmmaking department of the University of Central Arkansas, will be held in Conway Friday (Feb. 24), in Little Rock Feb. 25, in Memphis March 10, in Fayetteville March 16 and in Hot Springs March 17. 

Sympathy Pains is the story of Danny, an unsuccessful comedian who suffers from morning sickness after he finds out his wife is pregnant. Fighting a battle between his family and his dream job, Danny chooses both and succeeds at neither.

The film is produced by the UCA Digital Filmmaking program, one of the only programs in the nation to include a hands-on feature filmmaking course. 

Filming will begin in June and continue through August. Post-production will be completed in time for the Sundance and Slamdance Film Festival submission deadlines in August 2013.
