Actor George Takei, who played Hikaru Sulu, helmsman of the Starship Enterprise in the TV series Star Trek (1966-1969), will discuss his support of human rights at 6 p.m. Thursday (Feb. 23) at Barry L. Travis Exhibition Hall of Robinson Center, Markham and Broadway, Little Rock.
Takei, a Japanese American who lived in two U.S. internment camps during World War II -- including the Rohwer Relocation Center in Desha County -- is a community activist and supporter of human rights.
