Title: Head of Upper School at Pulaski Academy in Little Rock

Details: Pulaski Academy -- an independent, coeducational college preparatory day school for preschool students through 12th grade -- is seeking applications for the position of head of the upper school beginning as soon as possible but no later than June 15, 2010.
The private school enrolle about 1,300 3-year-old through 12th grade students. Candidates must have at least a master's degree in administration or a secondary administrative certification and experience in secondary administration, preferably in an independent school setting.
Experience leading and supervising highly motivated, intelligent students and providing positive and fair student discipline is required.
A strong academic background and intellectual curiosity along with excellent written and oral communication skills; strong interpersonal skills when working with students, parents and faculty members; and strong planning and problem solving skills are highly desirable.
The upper school head will be offered a 12-month contract renewable on a year-to-year basis.
