Fairytale Moments

Taken from a scene in “Cinderella,” the couple's first dance to Alison Krauss' “When You Say Nothing at All” was nothing short of a showstopper.

“We started out behind a curtain wall, and as our song began to play, the curtains were raised to frame us dancing our first dance,” Felicia said.

Other memorable moments included the ring presentation during the ceremony, when Casey's brother Nathan pulled a prank, and when the bridal party danced into the reception to “It's Tricky” by Run DMC.

“Everyone at the reception was standing up dancing and clapping while the whole wedding party danced their way to the head tables,” Casey said.

When former Arkansas Razorbacks quarterback Casey Dick first walked into Millennium Chiropractic & Rehab, he didn't know he was about to meet his future wife, Felicia Davis. Just there to be treated for a football injury, Casey wasn't dressed to impress for this chance encounter.

“When I first saw him I remember thinking, ‘Who is this guy and what is he wearing?'” Felicia recalled. “He was wearing team-issued workout clothes and he had on socks with his sandals.”

After several more visits for treatment and over-the-counter conversation, they finally ventured out on their first date. Two years later, while on vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, Casey popped the question.

“She said yes with a face full of tears and gave me a kiss,” Casey said.

A Team Effort

The couple picked The Church at Pinnacle Hills as their ceremony location — not only because it offered enough seating for the 500 guests they invited, but also because Casey's friend and former Arkansas Razorbacks backup quarterback Nate Emert was able to marry them there.

Many other Razorbacks attended their teammate's special day, including Oakland Raiders running back Darren McFadden, and all of the Arkansas football players from 2004-08 were honorary groomsmen.

Casey and Felicia paid tribute to his Arkansas football days in special ways throughout their wedding — Casey designed a 3-D football jersey for his groom's cake, the couple gave guests chocolate party favors in the shapes of razorbacks and footballs, and the DJ played the Arkansas fight song during the reception for the teammates, who couldn't help but huddle up and sing along.

Everything That Glitters

The couple wanted to keep the reception close for guests' convenience and booked the John Q. Hammons Center only a few blocks away. Flowers, fabrics and up-lights in shades of purple and pink transformed the conference center into a fairytale ballroom.

“Casey didn't have any say in the color choice because if I would've left it up to him, [the colors] would have been red, white and black,” Felicia said.

Accenting the feminine hues were silver, crystal and rhinestone embellish-ments. She wanted everything to sparkle for her “big, elaborate, princesses wedding theme” — crystal chandeliers, crystal beaded curtains, crystal trees, crystal votive candleholders and rhinestones were gilded and draped from floor to ceiling. Even her cake boasted rhinestone-broached fondant ribbons and a glittering monogram topper.
