Create Little Rock, the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce's new talent initiative, will make its debut from 5 to 7 p.m.Jan. 28 at the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center, 501 W. Ninth St., Little Rock.
The purpose of Create Little Rock is to keep, attract and grow talent for Little Rock and the region. Over 75 founding members are meeting and planning the coming year.
While the group will produce and participate in events, projects and programming to further its mission, its primary role will be to shine light on what individuals and groups are doing to create Little Rock and provide the means for its individual members to connect and partner with other vision-sharing members to tackle disparate issues and projects.
Featured guest will be Academy Award-winning filmmaker and Little Rock resident Ray McKinnon. Entertainment will include DJ g-force, Epiphany & One Night Stand, Moving Front, Riverbilly and Velvet Kente. Refreshments will be provided by All American WIngs, Blue Coast Burrito, Capriccio Grill Italian Steakhouse, Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Arkansas, Premium Refreshment Service and Rumba-Revolution.Jones Film Video/CJRW will debut a :30 second Create Little Rock spot and JM Associated/Career Sports and Entertainment will display its "I Create Little Rock" series.
All new and prospective members of Create Little Rock as well as representatives of Chamber member business/organizations are encouraged to attend.
