Registration deadline is today (Aug. 27) for the next Putting Green to Work lunch -- featuring ConAgra Foods of Batesville -- hosted by the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality. It's happening from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday (Aug. 30) at ADEQ, 5301 Northshore Drive, North Little Rock.

A representative of ConAgra will discuss its Go Green sustainability program which includes the installation of energy-efficient equipment, expanded recycling, implementation of a more efficient grease-removal process and marketing of waste grease for reuse in biofuels.

ADEQ, in partnership with Arkansas Manufacturing Solutions, created the Putting Green to Work lunches featuring speakers from businesses that have excelled at energy conservation and other sustainable practices.
