Big Downtown Thursdays get rolling with a block party from 5:30-7:30 p.m. today (Sept. 13) on Little Rock's Capitol Avenue from Main to Louisiana streets.
The networking gathering will include music, margaritas and Budweiser products for purchase (benefiting Arkansas Sounds Music Festival coming Sept. 28-29 to Riverfest Amphitheatre), a cigar lounge by Maduro Cigar Bar and Sticky Fingerz Rock 'n' Roll Chicken Shack and free pizza by Little Caesars. Admission is free.
The block parties will continue on Sept. 20, 27 and Oct. 4.
While you're in the neighborhood, head over to Curran Hall, 615 Capitol Ave., for cocktails and the cange to learn about sculptor Dionicio Rodriguez with Rachel Silva, preservation outreach coordinator with the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program. It's going on from 5-6:30 p.m. Admission is free.
