Arkansas' top chefs will compete in four categories at the annual Arkansas Culinary Classic, happening Tuesday at Statehouse Convention Center, Markham and Main streets, Little Rock, during the Arkansas Hospitality Association Right on Target Convention and Trade Show scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday (Sept. 19-20).
Chefs will compete in four categories: Soup/salad, dessert, entree or appetizer. Each chef must provide a presentation plate, three judging plates and 250 tastings of each entry. Prizes are $500 for first place, $300 for second place and $200 for third place.
Judging starts at 4:30 p.m. and a tasting dinner and silent auction begin at 6:30 p.m.
