Get 2013 off to a healthy start with the family.

State parks around the state are sponsoring guided First Day Hikes today (Jan. 1). So, grab your coats, put on some comfortable shoes and get outside and enjoy the great outdoors.

America's State Parks announced that all 50 state park systems will sponsor guided First Day Hike Programs on New Year’s Day today. The First Day Hikes offer individuals and families an opportunity to begin the New Year rejuvenating and connecting with the outdoors by taking a healthy hike today at a state park.
