Love food and want to learn more about sustainability?

It's your last chance to register for The Root Cafe's "Menu for the Future," a course presented by the Arkansas Earth Institute that will examine the connections between food and sustainable practices. The deadline to register for the seven-week course is tomorrow (Jan. 8).

During this course, participants will explore food systems and their impacts on culture, society and ecological systems; gain insight into agricultural and individual practices that promote personal and environmental well-being; and consider a role in creating or supporting sustainable food systems.

The class will meet 6- 8 p.m. every Tuesday from Jan. 15-Feb. 26.

Cost is $27 per person and includes a course book. Space is limited.
