The highly anticipated boutique 21C Museum Hotel opened in Bentonville this week as an exciting new option for a place to stay in the heart of the downtown, an awesome place to eat, and as a cool attraction with its museum gallery space.

It's no wonder The Washington Post listed Bentonville on its “In” list for 2013!

The hotel has 104 rooms and suites and more than 12,000 square feet of gallery space. Guests aren't only treated to fabulous art work in the gallery, but also all over the walls- hallways, rooms and all. Outdoor spaces include an art yard with a fire pit and 20-foot-tall orange “tree” of basketball goals. And what's cool is about 85 percent of the art in 21C is from the owners’ private collection. The rest is on loan or commissioned pieces.

You don’t have to be staying at the hotel to check out the space. The galleries are open for the public to stroll through.

Get some grub at the hotel restaurant The Hive. Under the direction of executive chef and Arkansas native Matthew McClure, the bar/lounge pays tribute to the South while offering McClure’s approach to refined country cuisine.

21C Museum Hotel is yet another exciting dimension to the art scene in Bentonville and northwest Arkansas, as well as a great place to stay and dine out.
