If you miss Bruno's Little Italy's delicious Italian cuisine, you will be able to enjoy it once again.

After a year’s absence, Little Rock’s original Italian restaurant will re-open in downtown Little Rock on the ground floor of the Mann Lofts, 310 Main Street.

It looks like Vince Bruno, who will operate the new restaurant in partnership with his brother Gio Bruno, got his wish after all. Last year, it was reported that he was planning on resurrecting the historic eatery.

The family has a 60-plus year history of serving some of the best Italian food in the Little Rock area, starting in the Levy neighborhood in North Little Rock, and followed by ventures on Roosevelt Road, Old Forge Drive and Bowman Curve in Little Rock.

Construction started this week with a grand opening scheduled for early August.

The Mann Building and Lofts is scheduled for completion in June. The project also includes a 415 space parking deck and room for additional retail and restaurant space.
