The Capital Hotel's Executive Pastry Chef Tandra Watkins has been nominated for Food & Wine's "The People's Best New Pastry Chef Award."
What's great is that the public can vote for the chef to help her bring the title to Arkansas. Voting runs until 4 p.m. next Monday (April 8).
This is the second major nomination for the Le Cordon Bleu Paris-trained chef this year. In February, she was nominated by James Beard Foundation as semi-finalist for its 2013 title of Outstanding Pastry Chef -- a very prestigious honor for any chef. The 2013 awards will be announced May 3 and May 6.
